Basic ways to pursue Funding

  1. Pursue Corporate or Foundation “Sponsorship” of existing programs to defray current costs being borne by the PTA or the School.
  2. Creation of new programs tailored to particular Foundations funding parameters or specific grant programs.

Specific Ideas to pursue:

ARTS

  1. Arts Partnership Expansion and/or sponsorship
    • Look for corporations to sponsor the existing program and/or expand
    • Possible partnerships with other schools with Arts Partnership Programs
    • Expand existing relationships with …Lookingglass, CAPE,
  2. School Art Curriculum Programs and Supplies
    • Work with Ms Larson (new art teacher) to identify needs or create fundable programs to enhance the existing HSA Art curriculum.
  3. Public Art Projects- Wall Murals, Outdoor Sculptures, etc.
    • Possible collaboration with artists or more advanced art schools to create or install large “public” art on available HSA space like hallway walls, or around campus.
  4. Auditorium Rehab Projects
    • New or clean stage curtains and window curtains
    • Upgrade Sound System
    • Paint
    • Projector system
  5. School Drama Curriculum and Programs
  6. School Music Curriculum, Programs, Instruments
  7. Digital Media Art Program
  8. Build-out of North Basement and/or PTA room as Art Gallery space
    • Installation of drywall over existing brick to provide sound insulation and more appropriate way to hand art.
    • Possibility of “naming rights” i.e Blick Art Supplies Art Gallery

  1. Laptops to augment tech room
  2. Computers and Scanners for new Library System
    • Need a couple of laptops and scanners for library and eventually a PC in each classroom to access collection.
  3. Auditorium Projector and Sound System

  4. Equipment for Digital Media Art Program
    • Crossover with Art area for potential new program

    • Est cost $60K. Possible commitment for $10K from Cubs.
