There are often special, longer-term projects that PTA is working on or would like to work on - with your help.  Sometimes these projects need more ideas or research, more funding, or simply someone to take an interest and shepherd them toward completion.

Below are a few currently on the board.  If you can assist any of these projects in any way (sometimes it takes as little as an introduction to a contact person) please let us know.   If you have other ideas that you'd like to see on this list, please attend the next PTA meeting to discuss them.

Playground Resurfacing- Wood chips will be replaced with a woven, synthetic surface  (www.pemsurfacecreations.com), improving the durability and safety of the surface.  This surface is designed for playgrounds with wood chips already in place and it drains easily.  No water puddles.  This surface is currently installed in the Oz Park playground.  Additional play equipment may be added too.

PTA Room / North Basement Drywalling - To improve the acoustics and the useability of these areas, we will finish the walls with drywall and paint.  This will substantially reduce the noise level in the rooms and make them more suitable for multi-purpose projects / events (i.e art gallery).
Estimated Cost: $13,000 PTA, $5,000 North Basement
Volunteers Needed: Project Coordinators.

Refurbishing the Auditorium Curtains-  The stage curtains are 15 years old and have several stains and tears.  They need to be removed, cleaned, repaired and rehung.

Cost: $3000 for stage curtains and $2000 for auditorium window curtains.

Volunteers Needed: Project coordinator to organize fundraising.
