Instructions for Bidding / Buying / Donating
Hawthorne has 4 separate online "stores" on this site. All 4 stores work similarly, but they are separate software from the website itself. Please read all of the following information carefully to understand this new process.
REGISTRATION- Registration is very quick, free, and easy; and you MUST register if you want to bid online OR if you want to attend the Auction Party on March 19th. On the registration form, you are asked to provide basic identification and to choose a bidder number/user name. Please choose a 4-digit number because this bidder number will be used at the Auction Party as well as in the Online Auctions.
REMEMBER, EVEN IF YOU DON'T BID ONLINE, YOU STILL NEED TO REGISTER ONLINE IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THE PARTY.
SPIRIT WEAR STORE- Sells the existing inventory we have of Hawthorne logo wear. Pay close attention to the quantity left of each item and each size. These will not be reordered after they are sold. When you purchase an item, there is no shipping cost. You can pick up the item at school or have it delivered home in your child's backpack. After you purchase your item and checkout, you will receive a notice of purchase. PLEASE REPLY TO THAT EMAIL WITH YOUR CHOICE OF DELIVERY OPTIONS. If the item does not fit, contact us by email and you can exchange it if another size is available. Please, no other returns. THESE AUCTION ITEMS WILL NOT BE SHIPPED BY MAIL UNLESS BY SPECIFIC PRIOR AGREEMENT AND AT FULL COST TO THE BUYER.
DONATE to PTA STORE - Is used to accept cash donations by credit card to Hawthorne PTA. You can select any of the amounts in the store. If you would like to give a different amount or pay by check, it can be dropped off at the school office. Your cash donations are always appreciated.
Your online user name/ bidder number will also be used to bid and buy raffle tickets at the Auction Party. After the party, you will receive an email indicating your purchases at the Party and be directed to pay for them online, again saving the receipts.
After all the online auctions and the auction party have concluded, items will be available for pick-up on March 23rd, 24th, and 25th in the PTA room before school and after school. You will need to present your printed receipt(s) for your online purchase to receive your item(s). THESE AUCTION ITEMS WILL NOT BE SHIPPED BY MAIL UNLESS BY SPECIFIC PRIOR AGREEMENT AND AT THE FULL COST OF THE BUYER. There will be alot of communication with parents before these auctions begin, so please be patient with this new process.
